Kottayam Pushpanath was born in 1938 in Kottayam, Kerala. He was a school teacher by profession, but he had a passion for writing since his childhood. He also wrote novels based on Indian mythology, such as Suryaratham, Rudrathandavam and Padakalimuttam.
